Dementia Caregiver Training

Calling all CNAs and HHAs! Do you need free, state-approved training to keep your license current? You are welcome here, and so are family caregivers.

There can be no doubt that caring for someone with Alzheimers or dementia takes skill, patience, and support. Our Dementia Caregiver Training gives both professional caregivers and family members the tools they need to feel confident.

For Professional Caregivers

You can earn California state-approved CEUs at no cost. Each class teaches best practices for supporting clients with dementia. Topics include:

  • Understanding dementia and how it progresses
  • Managing challenging behaviors
  • Creating a safe, supportive environment
  • Compassionate communication

For Family Caregivers

Family members who provide care at home are encouraged to join. Classes focus on simple, real-life strategies:

  • Planning the day to reduce stress
  • Mealtimes and nutrition
  • Communicating when words become harder
  • Daily care tips make life easier
