Breathing Space
Being a caregiver for a loved one with dementia is a full-time responsibility. It is also exhausting. You deserve time to rest, recharge, and take care of your own health.
Breathing Space is Alzheimers Coachella Valley’s scholarship program that helps family caregivers hire a temporary licensed caregiver so they can take much needed time off while knowing their loved one is safe and supported.
How Breathing Space Works
Caregivers may apply for up to $500 per month for three months. Scholarships are contingent on available funds.
Scholarships are re-evaluated every 90 days.
Funds are paid directly to qualified professional in-home care providers or licensed care facilities.
