How We Use Funds
- Community outreach, particularly in underserved areas of the East Valley, outreach initiatives, and bilingual education materials.
- Operation of our free Cognitive Screening Center: staffing, supplies, and outreach.
- Programming, including cognitive and physical activity programs, music therapy, caregiver education, shared meals, staffing, and associated program costs.
- Training for nursing students through the College of the Desert partnership: supporting their rotation, supervision, and training.
- Caregiver support and respite scholarships.
- Administrative, operational, and compliance needs to maintain program quality and legal status.
Accountability & Compliance
- ACV files annual IRS Form 990 (or the appropriate variant) as required under federal law.
- As a public charity, ACV keeps copies of the three most recently filed returns available for public inspection or download.
- Our 501(c)(3) determination letter and exemption status documentation are also available on request.
- We follow standard nonprofit best practices in financial manangement and reporting, ensuring funds are managed responsibly and transparently.
